No. This is the main part of the game, from here, you go through the normal story of the game, 'pre-searing' as it's called (which is the part before you got to 'Old Ascalon') is only a tutorial area, if you will. As for you not being able to get any skills, I am not sure, can you provide more details (e.g. have you gone to the skill trainer, or do you expect to get them all from quests)?

You can still get skills from quests and skill trainers. What you did was you left pre-searing whcih is the tutorial area. You are now at the real game.

You get skills as you progress through the story to new cities. If you don't have all the skills available now, you will get them as you move along.

you should probably start over. you dont want to leave presearing that early. I would delete the character and make a new one.

There's no real reason to re-start IMO - any skills that you did miss from pre-searing you will quickly get from quest's you'll gte in the Old Ascalon area. Also, a level 5 character should be able to fairly easily handle the fights in Old Ascalon - had you been say level 3, then I'd prolly be saying maybe better to restart

Only re-start if you feel you must, but it's not a must IMO. If you felt you missed seeing parts of pre-searing - why not create a new character and use that to explore pre-searing with, and your current character to experience the storyline with.. it's what I'd do if I wanted to do both

Yeah, I'm already level 7 almost 8 and I finished 3 major quests that gave me 1000 exp. I unlocked Regent Valley, Fort Ranrik, and Fontier Gate. I need to get these skills for my E/Me:

Skills Set:
1)Phantom Pain
2)Fevered Dreams {E}
3)Enervating Charge
4)Immolate
5)Blinding Flash
6)Whirlwind
7)Meteor
8)Res

and all I have is Blinding Flash. Do you know where I can get some of these skills? Or is some of them in the pre-searing level.... And I can't fins what a res skill is....

Try to use what you have available right now. Most of those skills you won't get until much, much later in the game. You can get the res signet from the skill trainer in ascalon city.

Also, http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Main_Page is a great resource if you ever need to find where a skill is, which quest/mission you should do, or whatnot.

Ummm, yes that page does show you where to get those skills. For example, search "Phanotm Pain."
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Phantom_Pain

Under Acquisition it says the "Caravan in Trouble" quest gives you that skill and that skill trainers from Yak's Bend and onward will have that skill.

If you were already at the Wiki I don't see why you couldn't have searched the skills. All it would have taken is a little bit of initiative, but since you didn't, here are all the links:

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Fevered_Dreams (This on is an elite skill, so you'll have trouble getting it your low level as it needs to be capped from a high level boss)
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Enervating_Charge
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Immolate
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Blinding_Flash (This one you can get from the skill trainer in ascalon city)
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Whirlwind
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Meteor (this can be gained from a quest)

As for your res, if you wanted hard res your secondary would have to be monk. Just buy a Res signet from the skill trainer.

You didn't see what you need on the main page? You do realize you can click on stuff for more info, right? For skills, you have to scroll down a little bit, click on skills and go from there.

Don't worry so much about getting a specific build. Many of the skills you will not be able to acquire for a while. Make a build that works for now and change it as you acquire new skills. Enjoy the game on the way.

The set of 8 skills you are trying to get is not the only way to have success at the game. Prophecies is the largest of the 3 campaigns, and it also has the most measured introduction to the game.

You are at least 10 missions (cities with the large shield icons, also will put an Enter Mission button in your party window when in one) away from facing boss enemies with elite skills to capture. That's about half the game away from where you are. Fevered Dreams is in the 2nd to last mission of the game and there are 25 missions in all. Just do the missions and the primary quests if you are in a hurry. They will move you a long pretty quickly, though you miss out on some good stuff like the skill quests (eventually buying skills will cost you 1k each, so it's better to be choosy at first when buying skills, and it makes the skill quests available even more valuable).

You are still in an area with fairly low level monsters and small groups, so it's a great place to do a bit of experimenting. Learn the skills you have now and check out quests and skill trainers as you enter new areas/cities and pick up new skills and learn those.

And if you get black dye, check the price at a dye trader before buying it.

Good luck and have fun.

QFT, you really need to use a different build, and make the build you posted above your "Final" build. Although there are more ways to attain Elites, on your first run-through just enjoy it, and choose a build that is Mission or Quest adapted. You should look on guild wiki for upcoming missions, or quest, and modify your build accordingly.

In case you want to get certain skills faster, do some PvP, and buy Tomes (if you have the money). Also, make sure you consider the items and armor you use, as they have a great effect on the build itself...
